Downstairs there is a large lounge with open fireplace and woodburning stove. The room has the original oak beams and tiled floor. It is comfortably furnished with a sofa and armchairs. English TV/Video and HiFi system. There is also a dining table and chairs.The kitchen is fully fitted with english cooker, fridge and microwave. There is also a table and chairs in the kitchen. A deep freeze and tumble dryer can be found in the garage.
The staircase leads to a single bedroom complete with chest of drawers, bedside bookcase and chair. The main bedroom has a double bed, chest of drawers, double wardrobe and armchair. The third bedroom has twin beds, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and a double wardrobe.
All the beds have duvets and pillows. Guests are requested to supply their own linen and towels.
The bathroom is downstairs and has a bath with
shower, washbasin and shave point. The WC is separate.
In true french style the washing machine is also in the bathroom.
There is a large garage attached to the house.
Garden furniture and BBQ are stored in the garage. For children there is a toy box, buckets and spades, two small chairs, tricycle and pedal car.
The cottage is within easy reach by car from the ferry ports of Cherbourg (1hr 30mins), Caen (1hr 20mins), and St Malo (2hrs).
Local towns - Brehal (within walking distance),
Granville - shops, Casino, Museum, restaurants, Coutances - Jardin de
Plantes, Museum and Cathedral.
All the towns have weekly markets, Brehal - Tuesday, Coutances - Thursday,
Granville - Saturday.
The beach at St Martin de Brehal is approximately 5kms away and has clean and safe bathing. There are also shops and restaurants.
Bayeaux: famous for its tapestry, War Museum and Military Cemetery. Caen: Peace Museum and Castle. Caumont L'Evente: underground mine, caves and waterfalls.Villedieu: bell foundry, lace making museum and its famous copper pans. Avranches: library - old books and manuscripts, AquaPark.

Prices are in Sterling. A 15% non refundable deposit is required on booking, with full rental payable 4 weeks before arrival. You are welcome to arrive from 4pm at the start of your holiday and are asked to leave by 10am at the end.
