The Farmhouse is typical but modern, having plenty of large windows from which to admire the views.

The ground floor comprising a central, fully equipped farmhouse kitchen, sitting room with working fireplace and cloakroom with separate toilet- is newly tiled and painted in a warm cream colour.

The kitchen has dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and all smaller electrical appliances such as coffee maker, toaster, and food processor French windows open directly onto the terrace from the kitchen making alfresco meal times pleasantly simple to organize.

The sitting room is furnished with convertible double sofa bed, a games cupboard, TV, cards table, and a library including books and maps of local interest.

Upstairs are four spacious bedrooms - one king size, two double (one with an extra single) and one twin rooms all with varnished wooden floors and freshly painted or papered walls - and a tiled bathroom consisting of bath with shower, washbasin, bidet and toilet.

There is also a utility room with washing machine on ground level. The house benefits from full oil central heating for out of season lets. Baby equipment such as cot, highchair, pen and carrier are available on request.

For your information we equip our gîte with some useful products for your arrival: You will find tea, coffee, coffee filters, chocolate, flour, sugar, pasta, condiments and herbs. Also cleaning products such as sponges, kitchen paper, loo paper, bin bags, tea towels, soap, washing up liquid, household detergent and some washing machine and dishwasher tablets.

We provide bath mats and bedside mats. All pillows and mattresses are covered with brushed cotton protections. Both mats and bedding protections are washed between each let for maximum hygiene. You will find your beds made up and a pair of towels at the foot of each bed on your arrival.

We leave plenty of tourist information, books of local history, walking maps and lists of our favourite restaurants and local wine merchants as well as the market days in the surrounding towns and villages.

In the heart of the Quercy Blanc region on the border of the Lot and the Tarn-et-Garonne nestles the quiet hamlet of Guitard.

Only six kilometres from the beautiful bastide village of Lauzerte. Eight kilometres to the north of Guitard lies the better-known village of Montcuq with its medieval quarters leading up to its high tower.

Both villages have all amenities and Montcuq boasts a beautiful swimming lake with sandy beach as well as a municipal pool.

Good restaurants, café life, walking, swimming, riding, biking, fishing, golf, and of course wine tasting around the reputed Cahors vineyards are all part of local life.

Along the ridge of the hilltops opposite Guitard passes the GR65 hiking path to Saint-James-of-Compostella in Northern Spain - one of the most important medieval pilgrimages in the world, which is still walked today.

Set in the peaceful hamlet of Guitard, just within the Tarn-et-Garonne and only one kilometre from the Lot, overlooking the hilltop of Montlauzun to the east. Our farmhouse is situated in a valley full of orchards, vineyards, pasture and cultivated fields.

The East facing garden and the South facing terrace are fully enclosed. There is a second garden to the south, below the terrace and across the narrow lane. The terrace area with its colourful flowerbeds is furnished with table and chairs and due to the favourable orientation of house and grounds; one can sit out all seasons and admire the gently rolling hills in all tranquillity.
