Downstairs - the house has a magnificent sitting/dining room on the ground floor with exposed beams, french doors and an open fireplace.

There is a large well-equipped farmhouse kitchen including a microwave and a washing machine. Also on the ground floor is a cloakroom and spacious double bedroom with twin beds.

Upstairs - There are two large double bedrooms with double beds and a wash handbasin in each. There is an additional single bed in one of these rooms.

There is a bathroom with bath and shower. The bedrooms are provided with duvets. There is a spare single folding bed and a double sofa bed in the sitting room.

There is a large selection of books and games, a radio/cassette, a large BBQ and ample garden furniture including loungers and parasols. There is a set of Boules and Outdoor Table Tennis.

There is Television with Video and DVD player.

The house is looked after by English-speaking neighbours. They welcome guests and sort out any problems that may arise.

The farmhouse is situated in a tranquil rural hamlet surrounded by attractive countryside - a paradise for ramblers and birdwatchers.

Ideally located for the many tourist, leisure and gastronomic attractions of the Dordogne and Bordeaux vineyards.

The picturesque mediaeval town of Brantome is known as the Venice of Perigord because of the way the river winds through the town with its attractive houses, parks and gardens along the banks.

There is canoeing and fishing in the rivers and swimming from a number of attractive lakeside beaches. The area has many excellent restaurants to suit all tastes.

Small mobile shop services call at the hamlet.

There are weekly markets in most of the surrounding towns and villages with Brantome market on Friday being the nearest. Details of the local restaurants and markets are available in the house together with guides to local attractions.
