Lol Bas is set in the hills in a very tranquil and picturesque part of the Dordogne close to the bastide town of Domme 9km and the River Dordogne 7km. The medieval towns of Sarlat and Gourdon are both 16 km away.
The closest villages with restaurants and shops are Daglan and St.Martial de Nabirat both 3km away.
There is a multitude of medieval chateaux, scenic villages and prehistoric sites nearby for which this area is famous. Les Eyzies and the caves of Lascaux are 35 km distance.
Along with the River Dordogne there are nearby lakes for fishing ( in which are found carp, sturgeon, trout etc.) or you can fish the River Ceou although a licence is required costing 16€ (also with its carp and trout).
Canoeing, horse riding, hot air ballooning, and a variety of other activities are found here.
In the nearby villages are some outstanding restaurants along with artisan crafts, arts and pottery. Markets are held most days and during July and August many fetes take place which usually end with magnificent firework displays.
The renovated barn on two floors has two bedrooms (one double, one twin) looking on to the countryside, a bathroom with shower and an open plan living area with TV and Radio.
Kitchen equipment includes a fridge, dishwasher, cooker, microwave oven, etc. Barbecue and outside facilities are available.
Linen is supplied free and a cleaning service is offered for a charge. A returnable deposit of 150€ will be required at the commencement of the rental and returned providing there has not been any damage or loss.
All guests have the use of the pool and its facilities and are very safe and perfect for families with young children: Bicycles, cot, pram, highchair, car seat, or playpen are available, and can be supplied along with play and sterilisation equipment for a small fee.

Parking for several cars are in an enclosed courtyard.
