The accommodation was fully renovated and modernised in 1992. Exposed ceiling beams and timber framed interior colombage walls are just two of the many appealing features of this property. The house is fully centrally heated and is therefore available all year round.

La Maison entière: The gite occupies approximately half the property and can be totally self-contained. In the past the other half was used by the previous owners and their families for holidays. However, under new ownership, since September 2000 the whole house is available to rent enabling much larger groups to be accommodated. Therefore, in addition to the Gite details, the following facilities are available:-

A ground floor kitchen with fridge/freezer, gas cooker, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. 2 first floor double bedrooms 1 first floor twin bedroom 1 first floor sitting room with TV 2 first floor shower rooms with wash basins and WC The two halves are linked by an adjoining door.

It must be emphasised, however, that the property will only ever be rented to one party thus ensuring your privacy. If you opt only to rent the gite, the remaining part of the house will not be let for the period of your stay.

Outside:- Outside there are two south facing terraces with a barbecue and a 10m x 5m unfenced swimming pool. An orchard offers some welcome shade and several lawns provide space for games or for simply relaxing and taking in the sunset over the beautiful Perron valley.

The Gite comprises: Large through lounge/dining room (12m x 5m) with open fire and colour TV and video.

Adjoining kitchen with gas cooker, washing machine, fridge freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee percolator, vacuum cleaner, iron and board. A tumble dryer is also available.

2 ground floor double bedrooms. 1 ground floor room bunk room. 1 ground floor bathroom with bath/ shower and wash basin. 1 ground floor WC. 1 first floor bedroom with two large single beds and an en-suite shower room with wash basin and WC.

A baby's cot and highchair are provided as is all bed linen, bath and hand towels and tea towels.

Aurignac is ideally situated midway between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean coasts giving easy access to the historic cities of Toulouse, Carcassonne and Albi to the east, Lourdes and Biarritz to the west, the Pyrenees and Spain to the south and the wine regions of Gaillac and Fronton to the north.

Boussan is a small, quiet village, served by a mobile grocer and butcher. All daily requirements are available at Aurignac, including supermarkets, bakers, butchers, greengrocers, newsagent, pharmacy, a bank, a post office, hairdressers, bars and restaurants.

Market day is Tuesday. More extensive shopping facilities and night clubs are to be found in St. Gaudens, 22km away.

There are many festivals and fetes all year round.

Leisure facilities include walking, with many marked paths, canoeing, cycling and skiing. Aurignac can be reached on foot across our fields and tennis and horse-riding can be found there.

The climate is excellent: dry winters, hot summers and a mild spring and autumn with moderate rainfall to keep the surrounding countryside green.
