Very comfortable, tastefully decorated and well equipped cottage in an idyllic, secluded spot.

This two-bedroomed cottage is very comfortably appointed and has electric heating throughout. The kitchen is well-equipped, with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge, and mountain spring water on tap.

There is a large sitting/dining room with bed-settee and open fire, a toilet and a downstairs shower room. The washing machine is housed in the utility room.

Upstairs, the large bathroom, double bedroom and twin bedroom all have amazing views over the river valley and wooded hills around - and not another house in sight.

The sunny terrace overlooks the river bordered by granite hills covered in deciduous woodland. The only sounds are those of the water rushing past and the birds singing.

Electric Heating, Woodburner, Fridge, Oven, Hob, Microwave, Washing Machine, Dish Washer, TV, Radio, CD Player, Ironing Board and Iron, Patio furniture.

Weekly Rental

River adjacent to property with trout fishing; marked footpaths from the property, boulangerie at 1.5 kms.

Puech del Grou cottage sits alone above a beautiful river in the Haut Languedoc National Park. The setting is magical, a haven of tranquillity amid the wild wooded hills along the trout-laden River Agout.

A footpath following the route of the disused mountain railway passes through a tunnel behind the cottage. Wonderful walks can be taken along the river valley, where the river crashes through deep gorges or expands into broad calm reservoirs. The river is renowned for its trout fishing.

This delightful hideaway is within an hour and half drive from Carcassonne Airport and within two hours from Toulouse Airport (both receiving cheap flights from various UK airports).
