The village of Tourliac lies between two rivers, the Dordogne and the Lot, in the heartland of the Perigord's vineyards and fields of fruit, maize and sunflowers. The region is rich in history.

There are numerous sites to explore - including chateaux, medieval bastide
towns and prehistoric caves.

Many towns and villages have tennis courts; and there are lakes suitable for paddling and water sports.

Canoes can be hired on the Dordogne (approx 30 mins), and there are bicycles for hire at Villeréal (8km) and Monpazier (9km). There is a golf course at Castelnaud (25min).

There are markets in the region on most days, and the area is famous for the quality of gourmet meals and wines.
