We are situated in the Vendee just 10kms from Fontenay le Comte and we have easy access from the RN148.
La Vallée is a 19th Century restored mill, with wooden beams and working fireplaces. There is a garden (not fully enclosed) where you may sit and read, or just listen to the birds singing.
La Vallée lies in a valley right next to the River L'Autize, where you may fish just 100 yards from the house, for a small licence fee, payable locally. Or, if you prefer, you may just stroll along the bank, where picnic tables can be found.
There is a comfortable
television room, where you may watch English TV or play your own videos,
and in the winter months, the room is kept warm by an enclosed fire.
La Vallée offers 5 double rooms all with Louis Phillippe style sleigh beds. Our rooms have received a 3 clés rating from Clévacances.
All are ensuite with shower and toilet. 4 rooms have double bed and 1 room 2 singles.
2 rooms intercommunicate via the bathroom, which makes this an ideal "family suite"
There is a hairdryer and
alarm clock in each room, and tea and coffee facilities are made available.
Our Continental Breakfast
Consists of fruit juice - cereal - yoghurt - cold meats and cheese - croissant - brioche - bread - butter - confiture and hot drink of your choice.
Our Food and Beverages
We serve various hot snacks and between April to October Table d'Hôtes - 4 Course A la carte. Please reserve at least 24 hours before your arrival.
Menus change daily and the food is all home cooked.
