The houses occupy an elevated position, and are situated on the edge of a hamlet, surrounded by delightful countryside, in the middle of a small farming and wine-producing community. The village of Sauzet, with a Restaurant and Bar, two General Stores, and Boulangerie, is just 3 kms away.

We are in the heart of Cahors wine country, close to the River Lot, and charming market towns of Prayssac, Puy L'Eveque and Montcuq. La Garenne is an ideal place for exploring the Lot Valley. Horse-riding, canoeing, swimming at lakes with sandy beaches, are all within easy reach.

Recently many of our guests have benefitted from the inexpensive scheduled flights to Toulouse, Bergerac, Rodez, Bordeaux and Carcassonne.

La Loge has been imaginatively converted from a stone barn, retaining much of the exposed stone features and many of the original old beams to provide quality accommodation for four people.

Situated in its own large, south-facing courtyard, to one side of which is the Bake-house, with the roof extending to provide a shaded eating-out area.

There is a small field adjacent to which visitors have access.

La Loge

You enter via the door from the Courtyard into an Entrance Hall leading to the Bedrooms and the Bathroom. An oak staircase leads up to the large, sunny, first floor Living Room with Kitchen, Dining Area and Lounge, where you are back at ground level. The large Kitchen area has fitted limed-oak units with tiled work surfaces and is well equipped with new electric fan oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, coffee-maker and electric kettle. A washing machine and tumble drier are also provided.

From the Dining Area, double french windows facing West, up across the field, let in the evening sun, and comfortable seating is provided in the large adjacent Lounge area, where the cast-iron wood-burning stove is an attractive feature for out-of-season lets.

All rooms are equipped with electric convector heaters for use if required, but for out-of-season lets the full central heating may be used by arrangement.

Two bedrooms with new beds and attractive pine furniture. Duvets and UK size pillows are provided, and linen and towels can be supplied at a small extra charge. A pine cot and high chair are available if required.

Le Pigeonnier

You enter via the Kitchen Door from the Terrace, which has garden furniture, recliners, and a barbeque. The Kitchen has fitted oak units and is well equipped with new electric fan oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee-maker and electric kettle.

Vaulted sitting room opening onto the Terrace; beamed living/dining room, from which an oak staircase leads up to the first floor. The living rooms have comfortable easy chairs and dining furniture.

Three double bedrooms, all equipped with new beds and attractive pine furniture. Duvets and UK size pillows are provided, and linen and towels can be supplied at a small extra charge. A cot and high chair are available if required.

La Petite Maison

This delightful, self-contained, one-bedroom house has been carefully renovated to retain all the original features including the large inglenook fireplace and original stone sink. Being in the Courtyard, adjacent to La Loge, it is let only in conjunction with La Loge, except for out-of-season lets. It has full central heating as well as a cast iron wood-burning fire to make this a particularly cosy house.
