Tim & Louise Tim & Louise welcome you to L'Hirondelle (meaning The Swallow), a charming 19th century farmhouse, offering delightful bed & breakfast accommodation and a beautifully renovated 4-bedroomed luxury self-contained Gîte.

Located in the heart of 'Le Parc Naturel Régional Périgord-Limousin', we are ideally situated to explore the varied and beautiful attractions of the Haute-Vienne, Dordogne and Charente departments.

L'Hirondelle is set in the rolling Limousin countryside overlooking a wooded river valley. We are only 2 kms from the pretty market town of St Mathieu, which provides full amenities including a petrol station, banks and a supermarket.

A private entrance leads to your own secluded garden and terrace, overlooking a wooded river valley. The views over the surrounding countryside from the front of the barn are fabulous in all seasons of the year, with the rolling hills, fields, and woodland.

Inside you will find an open plan living and dining area with exposed beams. In one corner there is a well-appointed kitchen which looks out over the garden and fields, and also a cloakroom. A galleried staircase leads onto the first floor where four beautifully furnished bedrooms are situated, all with en-suite facilities. There are two double rooms featuring king- sized beds and two twin rooms.

L'Hirondelle Gîte also benefits from full central heating for the cooler months.

Your hosts are in the same hamlet and on hand to offer advice or help with planning each day to make the most of your precious holiday.

Towels and bed-linen are included and beach towels are available at a small charge. A washing machine is also available for use in the host's utility room.

For the comfort of all, L'Hirondelle operates a no smoking policy within the Gîte.

L'Hirondelle can be found on the D87 (route de Chéronnac) 2kms from St Mathieu, 45 kms SW of Limoges.

All prices are per week including bed linen, towels, electricity, and water. (Please note the low season rentals will incur an additional charge for utilities at the local rates.) A cleaning charge of €50 per stay is also payable.
