A stunning, traditional, two storey Catalan farmhouse with 4 bedrooms which can sleep up to 11 people plus two spacious apartments, the attractive & convenient ground floor garden apartment sleeping 4 plus the stunning loft apartment sleeping up to 6 people. The pretty two bedroom garden house tucked away in the shade of the park style second garden sleeps 4 and 300yds up the lane is a large first floor, three bedroom apartment overlooking olive groves sleeps 6.

The accommodation is mostly sited within two tranquil and mature gardens stocked with many mature trees and shrubs, majestic date palm and large 15metre swimming pool. the Olive farm apartment is on tranquil farmland. 'A truly glorious setting', 'Quite wonderful'.

Mimosa Garden Apartment

 

An attractive and spacious ground floor apartment that opens directly onto a terrace with shady, covered eating area and only 25 metres from the pool across lawn. The layout consists of a Lounge/kitchen/diner, two double or twin bedrooms, large shower room with double sinks and a separate toilet. The apartment has a traditional Catalan built-in BBQ. In addition to the views out across the garden and swimming pool, the apartment also has stunning views to the rear across the fields to a magnificent bank of Poplar trees. a type of scene that Monet would have loved to capture. This apartment was extremely popular throughout 2004 in the Spring, Summer and Autumn.

Twenty five percent of the booking rate is required with booking. Balance of payments 6 weeks before arrival along with damage deposit of one hundred pounds. Rates quoted for currencies other than euros when contacting the owner will be at the prevailing exchange rate at that time. Deposits against reserved holidays will be at the rate quoted by the owner. it should be noted that holiday balances due 6 weeks before taking the holiday will be calculated at the stirling rate at that time. Electronic or cheque transfers can be made at £10 per transfer. Payment by Cheques in currencies other than stirling will attract a surcharge of £10. Between the months of October and March, there will be an additional charge of £25per week for electricity and heating.


 

 
St Jacques Loft Apartment

 

The loft apartment is on the 2nd floor of the farmhouse with stunning views across the house gardens and pool, the farms of Les Jardins, St. Jacques and Canigou, one the highest peaks in the Pyrenees forming a backdrop behind the city of Perpignan in the distance.

The apartment has its own entrance from the garden and is a classic loft set-up with a large open living/dining area, a kitchen area, toilet and shower room.The loft apartment has two bedrooms, one at either end of the loft space. The loft is an impressive space with attractive mediterranean colours and typical loft features such as the impressive kitchen area lighting gantry.

Stunning Catalan Farmhouse

 

A traditional Catalan style farmhouse offering a beautiful large lounge and elegant dining room both with traditional beamed and ceramic tiled ceilings, a farmhouse kitchen with walk-in pantry and on the first floor, two attractive double or twin bedrooms with views over the main garden, magnificent date palm and swimming pool. Each bedroom has its own seperate bath or shower room with toilet. On this floor is also the large master bedroom again with beamed and tiled ceiling and can sleep three people with a king size double and a sofa-bed. This room also has its own small lounge and tv/video/dvd player. The is an additional twin bedroom and toilet and large bath/shower suite. The longe also has a double sized sofa bed. In total the farmhouse can sleep comfortably up to 11 people or it would make for a truly spacious holiday base for a family of 4 to 6. The farmhouse is also ideal for two families holidaying together. There is an outside BBQ and shady sitting area.

Olive Farm Apartment

 

Just 330 yards away from the Catalan farmhouse, and in the adjacent farmland is a very attractive and spacious first floor apartment overlooking 500 olive trees. The large apartment has three bedrooms, the master with en-suite and its own sun balcony. It also has a wrap around sun terrace for outside dining. The apartment is on a farm owned by retired Cherry farmers but the farmers daughter, a local school teacher also works 500 olive trees and Hazelnut trees, vegetables and flowers. You will be able to buy the freshest Olive oil you have ever tasted plus vegetables and fresh eggs from the farm chickens. The apartment also benefits from the use of the adjacent Catalan farmhouse large gardens and swimming pool. What nicer way to spend a holiday in the Roussillon region but on a quiet yet working farm with its delightful and kind owners. The Olive farm apartment is situated is just the most incredible countryside haven, yet just on the doorstep of Perpignan and the Med just down the road.

The Garden House

 

A two bedroom little house nestled in amongst the shade of a very pretty copse of mimosa in the park-style second garden of the Catalan farmhouse. The shade of the Mimosas means that you can look out onto the sun-baked garden but from a cool shady haven. The house has a lovely view out to the fruit trees of the garden with Fig, Plum, Almond and Pomegranit. There are also young date palms, bamboo, holliandai and a copse of magnificent poplars. The house also has stunning views out across the fields of the jardin st.jacques. The swimming pool of the farmhouse is just 50metres away across the lawns. The Garden house has a lounge/kitchen/diner plus two bedrooms, double or twin and a toilet and shower.

The farmhouse location & excellent leisure trips: The Catalan farmhouse, which has nearly 4500sqm of gardens is bordered by an Apricot orchard, Olive grove and vine and palm tree nurseries. The house is situated approximately in the centre of a unique conservation area of fruit and vegetable farms and tree and plant nurseries called Les Jardins des St.Jacques. There is a lovely restaurant in walking distance from the farmhouse and 'Les Jardins SJ' is also home to a historic and picturesque village and two, first class vineyards.

The colourful and exotic city of Perpignan: Right on the doorstep of Les Jardins des StJacques is the city of Perpignan. It takes two minutes by car and is a lovely walk from the farmhouse. It is hard to think how anyone would want for more from a city. It is full of sophisticated shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and music clubs. There are many interesting festivals held in the city during the year. The old quarter of the city is home to several multi-cultural food markets and full of fascinating Catalan architecture. The icing on the cake is that almost at every turn, the city is full of exotic palm trees.

Roussillon, The Med, The Pyrenees & Spain: This is a truly superb region for any type of holiday you could wish for and at any time of year. Roussillon is the sunniest part of France with app. 320 sunshine days a year with the autumn being a real treat and break from colder parts of Europe. The Med resorts of Canet, Barcares, St.Cyprien and Argeles all with marvellous beaches are all just minutes away. The famous and beautiful Collioure, Ceret and Figueres in Spain are loaded with artistic history. The majestic Pyrenees wrap themselves around Roussillon and tumble into the Med, the lush countryside is quite simply carpeted with sun baked vineyards. If all that was not enough, the lovely Costa Brava of Spain is Roussillon's southern neighbour.

Golf Information Golf Information: The catalan farmhouse is is situated just about 15 minutes from the St.Cyprien golf course itself only half a mile from the Mediterranean. St.Cyprien has both 18 hole and 9 hole courses. The 18 hole course is par 73 and 6480m. In this Roussillon region there is also the spectacular Domain De Falgos, 18-hole course, par 70 and 5047m, with views overlooking both Mount Canigou in the Pyrenees and also to the CostaBrava in Spain. There are also 9 hole courses at Amelie Les Bains and Camprodon. From the farmhouse it is only 25 minutes drive to the border with Spain where you can enjoy the CostaBrava courses at Torremirona Golf Club which has 18 holes and is par 72 and 6245m and Peralada Gold Club which has both an 18 and a 9 hole course and is par 71 with a length of 6704m. When you return back to the farmhouse, you can then enjoy the large pool and then just a couple of minutes by taxi and you are in the centre of perpignan with its wealth of choice of bars and restaurants. The farmhouse is only 15 minutes drive from the airport.
